12th Annual Black President’s Day: A Celebration Of The Music Of Fela Anikulapo-kuti
1230 9th Street Northwest
About The Event:
Last year we DIY’d it. This year we are back in the bar mix. Celebrating our 12th annual fete in honor of Fela Kuti, we are bringing the Black President’s Day vibe to Bar 1230 for a full on club experience with a twist. This year, there is NO COVER.
Come celebrate Fela as our guest and support a new initiative called Diaspora RiseUP!, the latest initiative by Act4Accountability. Diaspora RiseUP! is a campaign and fund that aims to increase investment in the continued development of our home countires by coordinating and growing philanthropy among members of the African diaspora.
Want to donate to the #BPD12 cause, you can do that too!
